What is your maximum campsite capacity?
That really is difficult question to answer as it really is determined by your camp statistics ie age, leaders, tented accommodation?? So a general answer would be:
We can accommodate 150 in dormitories/houses.
We can accommodate 40 in the marquees on mattresses.
We can accommodate a further 18 in SU tents on mattresses.
Should you still require more sleeping space, you are more than welcome to bring your own tents and camp with us as we have plenty of space and ablution facilities.
Do you have single accommodation on the campsite?
This is solely dependant on the time of year and size of your camp.
All our rooms range from 4 beds to 8 beds.
We have one couples room on the entire campsite.
Do you offer camp programmes?
Kadesh Barnea does not offer camping programmes at this stage. As an alternative we can introduce you to some companies who specialise in camp programming that will be able to help you as well as our Scripture Union Regions who could assist you in this.

Supper at 18h00 Our meal times are flexible (within reason) according to your programme. These changes need to be pre- booked though.
Do you have a minimum age restriction?
No, but also realizing that the younger your group- the more supervision will be required.
The dam, pool and trampoline on the premises are strictly to be used under adult supervision.
From what age do young campers pay?
A safe rule would be that children under 3 do not pay.
Do you have special rates for children?
Do you allow pets on the campsite?
No. We have a dog, cat, fish, geese, ducks, various bird life, plus other animals that we try and keep as calm as possible. We encourage campers to interact with all of them as part of the learning experience.

Is equipment provided for self catering?
Yes, included in your kitchen levy is the usage of our catering equipment. Including 12 gas burners, cold room, Chest freezers, kitchen knives, pots etc.
However you will need to bring all cleaning materials, including sponges, dishwashing liquid, drying cloths etc.
Do you provide for special diets i.e. Diabetic, vegetarian, gluten intolerant?
Yes, on our booking forms, you will find a section to be completed on behalf of your campers.
We only cater for special diets if arranged before arrival as we do not always have the staff compliment or the stock available. We encourage you to find out from your group as there are many times this area is overlooked.
What equipment do you have? I.e. data projector, flipchart
We only have flipcharts available for our groups. We charge extra for the paper, and white board markers can be purchased in the tuck shop.
We encourage you to bring your own extension leads and 'two-pin' plugs, as these are not supplied by the campsite.
We do have a projector screen up for displays, however NO projector is supplied.
Do you have Break away rooms?
No, unfortunately, however we have plenty of shade and open space to meet outside.
The hall itself can easily accommodate 250 people, so splitting in to groups inside should not be a problem.
The Leaders House has a lounge which may also be used for this purpose.
Do you provide bedding?
At an additional cost, and subject to availability.
Do you provide cutlery and crockery?
At an additional cost, an subject to availability.
Do you provide a washing up service?
By prior arrangement. You will be required to cover the costs for this.
Do you provide emergency aid?
Although we are trained in emergency aid, it is required by law that the camp director/ volunteer be fully trained to handle these situations.
Where is the nearest hospital?
Brits is roughly 25km away and has a provincial and private hospital.

On the Main Campsite – No

Is the tap water at Kadesh Barnea Camping Centre safe to drink?

We are actually very close,you can drive to the hartbeespoort dam in about 15 minutes.
